Who We Are

Dayspring Foundation Tanzania is a Tanzanian non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organisation committed to promoting diversity, equality and unity and advancing the rights, dignity and wellbeing of women, youth and children.

Established in 2019 and operationally launched in 2021, Dayspring Foundation works with communities, government institutions, development partners, civil society organisations, private sector actors and other stakeholders to address social, economic and environmental challenges affecting vulnerable and underserved communities.

The Foundation uses advocacy, community education, research, capacity building, legal empowerment, awareness raising, partnerships and community participation to create sustainable and inclusive solutions.

Geographical Coverage

Dayspring Foundation is headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and works with communities and partners within Tanzania. Programmes are implemented at community, district, regional and national levels depending on the programme and available partnerships and resources. The Foundation also engages in regional and international networks, forums, conferences and partnerships.

Our Beginnings

Dayspring Foundation Tanzania is a community-based advocacy, awareness-raising, and research organization dedicated to fostering a democratic and just society by eliminating all forms of discrimination against women, children, and youth.

Since its inception in 2019 and operational launch in 2021, Dayspring Foundation has been committed to advocating for human rights, promoting social change, and supporting the empowerment of women, children, and youth. Volunteer Roles

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

• Community Outreach & Advocacy: Assist in organizing community dialogues, workshops, and awareness campaigns on gender equality, GBV, and child rights.
